JOB TITLE: Facilities Project Engineer - Mechanical
LOCATION: Lafayette, IN
ON SITE/HYBRID/REMOTE: On site
SALARY: $48.00 - $51.00/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
Focus on current Facilities activities - Mechanical
Manage the introduction of new product launches team into our manufacturing facility.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares and analyzes margin reporting, either by SKU or customer.
Lead Capital (CAPEX) and Opex planning for Manufacturing, Operations & Continuous Improvement projects.
Evaluate purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
Schedules and monitors all activities from design kick-off, tooling, and engineering builds through mass production.
Responsible for monthly standard cost roll
Support commercial and costs activities, fixture costs, tooling costs, test costs, etc
Estimate the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.
Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
Work closely with production to ensure substitutions, scrap rates and orders are being recorded and closed accurately and on-time
Prepares standard costs for all products and engineering changes with BOM's and labor routings.
Prepares required month end close journal entries and have general knowledge of general ledger accounting.
Prepares variance analysis of labor reporting, material usage, and inventory discrepancies with explanations and/or corrective actions.
Track cost approval, PO, invoice to payment, including initial budget, ECR and cost modifications
Ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline while maintaining quality standards.
Assists in preparation of monthly forecasting.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10 years of related work experience
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
1. Experience with facilities engineering functions
2. Experience with New Capital Introduction (NCI) - new assets commissioning and old assets decommissioning
3. Experience with facilities engineering related assets, such as:
4. Chillers
5. Compressors
6. Water treatment
7. HVAC
