Why We Need You:

PEMCO has a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our community. In this role, you will serve as the first line communication and advisor to the senior leadership team. Your focus will be on aligning HR practices and human capital resources with the company's overall goals. You will provide both hands-on and strategic insights and advice on people-related topics, particularly in performance and talent management, organizational structure and job classification, culture, and change management.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure their business needs are met, focusing on aligning capabilities with roles and critical projects through new role creation, job descriptions, organizational design, change leadership, and talent management activities in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Partner on and influence talent initiatives that support PEMCO's short- and long-term business goals, with an eye towards driving practices that enable high performance and operational excellence.
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships across the organization and within the HR team to work proactively on talent management solutions that support PEMCO business objectives, values, and culture.
  • Act as HR liaison between senior leaders and HR Ops & COEs in functional areas such as employee relations, total rewards, DEIB, and talent acquisition.
  • Provide HR expertise and partner with senior leadership on all workforce planning-related activities including high-potential talent identifications, critical skills assessments, succession planning and employee development.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
  • Analyze various human capital-related metrics to guide decision-making and provide proactive solutions to senior business leaders.
  • Partner with Learning & Org Effectiveness to support value-added programs in areas of training, development, career mobility, and job performance.
  • Collaborate with HR and Learning and Org Effectiveness leaders to manage HRIS talent planning processes and system functionality.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with PEMCO's policies, values, code of ethics and business conduct.

What You'll Bring:
  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience (Business administration, human resources, communications, organizational development or other related field)
  • 10 years of experience in human resource discipline (compliance, employee relations, benefits, compensation, organizational development, training, etc.) with increasing levels of responsibility is required
  • 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role
  • Experience with workforce planning, project management and change management best practices preferred.
  • Relevant Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification is preferred.
  • MS Office: Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
  • Problem Solver: Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve complex unstructured problems quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively is required
  • Analytical and data-driven: Thinks analytically; a structured thinker who can put complex ideas into clear frameworks; uses data to conduct root cause analysis and develops high quality, consumable, and consistent metrics that drive strategic objectives and priorities is required

Compensation:

The pay range for this role is shown below. Compensation decisions are determined based on an individual's qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Greater Seattle area target pay range: $136,669-$167,039. The full pay range is $113,890-$189,817.
  • Outside greater Seattle area target pay range: $120,613-$147,415. The full pay range is $100,510-$167,517.

Greater Seattle Area is defined as working within approximately 100 miles of Seattle.

Outside Greater Seattle is defined as working approximately 100 miles or more from Seattle.

Benefits:

Regular part-time PEMCO employees working at least 24 hours per week and regular full-time PEMCO employees are eligible to elect coverage under medical, dental, and vision plans for themselves and their eligible family members with generous employer premium cost shares. In addition, as a benefits-eligible employee, you are:
  • covered by employer-paid basic life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance policies as well as long- and short-term disability benefit coverages.
  • eligible to participate in PEMCO's 401(k) plan which includes a generous employer match (2 for 1 on the first 6% employee pre-tax and/or Roth deferral, up to federal maximums).

PEMCO provides the following paid leave programs for benefits-eligible employees in their first year of PEMCO employment:
  • Vacation accrues at a rate of 10 days for new hires, and increases based on a schedule to a maximum annual accrual of 25 days based on tenure
  • Granted four (4) personal days immediately upon hire
  • Paid holidays for the eight (8) holidays observed by PEMCO throughout the calendar year.
  • Granted up to ten (10) days of sick leave immediately upon hire (pro-rated based on hire date and full-time/part-time status), which is approximately 28 hours more per year than the Washington state-required accrual
  • In addition, PEMCO provides paid time off for bereavement, jury duty and employee volunteering in the community.
