Position Summary
The Department of Neurology at LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans is seeking applicants for a board-certified/board eligible (or equivalent) Epileptologist to join the faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). The successful candidate must be ABPN board-certified in Neurology, and board eligible/certified in the subspecialty of Epilepsy and/or Clinical Neurophysiology. This physician would be part of our growing LCMC Health Neuroscience Institute with the goal of improving neurologic care for the greater New Orleans metropolitan area.
The LCMC Health Neuroscience Institute is centered at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, Louisiana, which is a tertiary-care facility receiving referrals from hospitals throughout the Gulf Coast. The eligible candidate will report to the Chair of the Department of Neurology and will work collaboratively with the current Epilepsy Center Director to develop the LSU Epilepsy Center within the LCMC Health Neuroscience Institute.
