SGL is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to join our team. This leadership role requires a proven track record in closing deals and driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and fostering long-term client relationship. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and collaborating with Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client KPI achievement.

SGL is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to join our team. This leadership role requires a proven track record in closing deals and driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and fostering long-term client relationship. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and collaborating with Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client KPI achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact in all customer interactions.
- Generate and manage sales leads to support SGL's global network of 180 offices.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted vertical markets, including technology, automotive, healthcare, retail, and industrial.
- Work closely with operations to capture potential leads and cross selling between domestic and international business.
- Travel within the assigned sales area to visit potential and existing customers.
- Conduct face-to-face sales meetings, presentations, and conference calls with prospective and existing customers to showcase company offerings and enhance brand awareness.
- Offer innovative solutions and effectively address client's shipping needs to provide value-added services.
- Maintain accurate records of sales in SGL CRM system.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management to track performance.
- Conduct monthly team meetings to promote commercial awareness and align strategies.
- Achieve and exceed targeted revenue goals by closing new business.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company's services.
- Stay updated with industry regulations, trends, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong networking, relationship-building, and client management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Creative problem-solving to build a customized solution based on customer need.
- Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing priorities and demands.
- Willingness to travel as required.
