The Vice President of Construction - Healthcare is responsible for leading and overseeing all construction activities related to healthcare projects. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion in the healthcare sector
- Develop and implement strategic plans for construction projects to ensure timely and within-budget delivery
- Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Lead a team of construction managers and staff, providing guidance and support in project execution
- Monitor project progress, conducting regular reviews and adjustments as necessary to meet goals
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and OSHA compliance throughout all construction activities
- Prepare and manage project budgets, financial reporting, and profitability analysis
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential challenges in project execution
- Drive process improvements and software implementations to enhance operational efficiency
- Foster a positive work environment and conduct employee reviews to support team development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 10 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in managing healthcare construction projects and understanding of healthcare regulations
- Strong business development skills with a track record of increasing profitability
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Sage, and Viewpoint
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Certifications in OSHA safety training and quality management are a plus
