Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

Gannett Fleming TranSystems is looking for a CEI Project Manager to lead the field construction engineering operations on key projects and ensuring that the construction meets our obligations by the client and expectations of Gannett FlemingTransystems. This individual will be part of a team of leaders providing leadership to our CE&I practice.

Primary Responsibilities (others may be included):
  • Management of clients and project teams
  • Taking responsibility for the financial and production success of CEI related projects
  • Ensuring that the TranSystems Operational policies and practices are followed on projects that they oversee
  • Assist with and/or lead the planning, coordinating and execution of CEI projects
  • Coordination with other project leads and clients as necessary
  • Participate in preparing and managing project budgets and schedules
  • Participate in preparing and executing business development plans
  • Focuses on quality and helps ensure QA/QC procedures are followed
  • Manage CEI equipment inventory and maintenance
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in the industry
  • Manage subordinate employees
  • Provide training opportunities and mentorship
  • Identify and recruit CE&I staff
  • Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.


Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Specific project management and design experience required (includes water and wastewater utilities).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must communicate well with others.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage time wisely.
  • Ability to transition operational knowledge into technical process.
  • Communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • Ability to understand and interpret multitude of organizations funding sources, how they are derived, and how they apply.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to discern and develop project milestones.
  • Ability to produce project scope.
  • Ability to develop a program and project specific schedule.
  • Keep abreast of trending technology.
  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

Work Environment:

  • Work in indoor office environment 50% of the time.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Travel via automobile on occasion as needed.

  • Talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 15 pounds occasionally.
