Position Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible for assisting the Quality Director with planning, development, implementation and maintenance of quality policies, procedures and processes across the region. As part of McCarthy's Quality Program, the Quality Manager will identify and document best practices and internal technical resources. This position reports to the regional Quality Director and will assist project teams during construction preparation, construction, project close-out and warranty activities on projections. The Quality Manager is a resource of expertise for the region and a mentor to members of the project teams to foster a pride of work and accountability for actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with project teams to develop project site-specific quality plans, budgets and schedules, and to determine requirements for mock-ups and tests, inspections and documentation.
  • Visit project sites to help project teams identify and document key project quality challenges and to facilitate on-site testing, inspection and documentation.
  • Assist with management and development of building opensource coordinators and administer building enclosure coordination program and MEP programs.
  • Assist with project quality evaluations and participate in the "Lessons Learned" process by reviewing and implementing quality best practices.
  • Provide job site coaching and troubleshooting for quality issues; assist in the reporting process and in providing solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5-10 years of building experience
  • Knowledge of construction principles/practices required
  • Experience managing and directing the testing and inspecting of work
  • Experience working with project management in successful completion of projects
  • Understanding of Quality and Lean principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Blue Beam and Revu
