This position oversees and supports the successful implementation of College and Career Academies. Participation on various district committees is required. Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the school improvement plan to ensure academic and social-emotional outcomes are met.
- Provide a wide variety of coherent and aligned learning opportunities for teachers focused on analyzing student work, effective planning, targeted and differentiated instruction, as well as high expectations for classroom culture and behavior.
- Serve on the Leadership Team; collaborate with team to determine school-wide professional development, curriculum and assessment needs to meet all school goals.
- Meet with teachers regularly to discuss data trends; problem solve with teachers to prioritize the teacher actions that will most impact student performance.
- Develop, implement and support a system to ensure a positive school climate for students and adults.
- Interview, supervise, and evaluate all staff, both certified and non-certified in a complete and timely fashion, ensuring best practices in the related programs.
- Promote the use of the behavioral components of Restorative Practice inquiry techniques and conferences, Response to Intervention (RTI) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Universal and Secondary Teams, to effectively provide intervention. Must ensure the provisions of PA 456 are followed and that multiple interventions are attempted before a student is excluded from the classroom.
- Supervise daily student attendance and monitor the procedures of the attendance office to ensure compliance of mandatory attendance laws and increase student attendance patterns, particularly in decreasing the percent of students who are chronically absent.
- Organize and communicate the discipline process with building staff and offer feedback to staff, parents and students for discipline events.
- Provide the supervision necessary for participants and spectators during after-school and evening extracurricular activities.
- Lead and/or assist in the organization of before/after school family and community engagement activities with staff, students and community.
- Consult with parents, staff, district personnel, community, and individual students to ensure that each student is placed in an individualized program that best meets his/her identified needs.
- Coordinate the day-to-day supervision and operation of the school with the principal, or in the principal's absence, to ensure the efficient operations of the building and educational programs.
- As requested by building administration, participate in building IEP Meetings for students currently enrolled.
- Schedule the instructional programs, students, staff, and classrooms, including coordination efforts to streamline the registration process.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of student and staff schedules.
- Willingness to lead, support, and facilitate the transition to College and Career Academies and educational pathways, including participation on curriculum writing committees.
- Eagerness to collaborate with district staff and to grow professionally by participating in ongoing leadership development opportunities.

- Focus Area - Student Services
- Adheres to all District, Local, State, and Federal policies and mandates concerning Specialized Student Services, including accommodated testing for students with IEP's.
- In consultation with parents, service team, community agencies and individual students, ensures an individualized program, and or setting, which best meets the needs of each student. (This includes working in cooperation with deans, counselors, and case managers in the development/facilitation of student behavior management plans).
- Evaluates the effectiveness of teacher instruction, conducting frequent formal and informal observations with timely and specific feedback as related to the district teacher appraisal plan.
- Responsible for maintaining a reasonable inventory/ordering system of necessary teaching supplies, textbooks, and equipment, (including timely maintenance, repair, and submission of inventory logs).
- Provides proper orientation and support to staff to best promote professional growth and
- Collaborates with building and district representatives to develop a rigorous school improvement plan.
- Attends District meetings to represent the various school departments to district personnel and outside agencies to ensure compliance with given standards.
- Participates in the hiring of personnel as assigned by the principal.
- Develops teacher schedules, including room utilization, to meet students' educational needs.
- Schedules and facilitates monthly meetings with the department (including agenda and minutes).
- Ensures all testing accommodations are met for all state tests; facilitates proctor training for these tests.
- Serves as the liaison for Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention-based teams.

Education
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with General Administrative or Principal Endorsement.
- Performance Evaluation Qualifications (Teachers) required.
- LBS1 Endorsement required.
- ESL and/or Bilingual Endorsement preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English (verbal & written) preferred.
- Training in Cultural Competency, Equity, and/or Implicit Bias preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience as an administrator preferred.
- Three (3) years of successful teaching experience, preferably in high school.
- Knowledge and experience building the capacity of teacher teams.
- Experience using data to develop priorities and action planning.
- Experience leading adults toward a common goal.
- Ability to lift to 30 lbs. with proper technique.
- This position has a 12-month work year. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.
- The full salary range for this position is $100,716.00 - $151,055.00. Our typical practice is to hire in between the minimum and midpoint ($125,888.00).
