Description

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our team at Lantern. In this role you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing business applications that leverage Azure AI Services. This role will be a key resource in our Digital & Application Innovation Practice. This role will be client facing, innovating cutting-edge AI solutions. Application will be built using Azure AI Foundry to infuse generative AI into production workloads. This person will have responsibility for working with our clients to understand their business and technical requirements, architecting solutions and giving technical guidance to our consulting team. There would also be a significant pre-sales support role. The Architect is responsible for shaping and estimating deals as part of the proposal process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Advisory, Technical Advisory, and Solution Architecting
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their business needs, AI use cases and technical requirements.
  • Provide strategic guidance on leveraging Microsoft Azure AI Services (such as OpenAI, AI Search, Document Intelligence and AI Vision)
  • Conducting customer-facing strategic AI workshops and assessments of existing applications and platforms to create recommendations on how to best leverage the AI opportunity.
  • Solution Development
  • Creating innovative applications, accessing leading AI models
  • Build trusted applications, with built in responsible AI and security.
  • Work with Delivery Managers to build and manage backlogs in Azure DevOps
  • Create technical documentation for solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production systems, address technical issues, etc.
  • Practice leadership
  • Staying up to date on the latest features and capabilities being released by Microsoft.
  • Coaching team members.
  • Assisting in technical pre-Sales engagements, estimating level of effort, drafting proposals and statements of work.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Has strong consulting skills gained through experience in a consulting organization.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates strong self-sufficiency and initiative as a self-starter.
  • Proven track record of working closely with clients to determine their needs and ensure their ongoing satisfaction.
  • Genuine interest and ability to quickly switch between multiple clients and initiatives on a frequent basis.
  • Experience in Agile software development as a team member.
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills.
  • Experience in all phases of product, software, and testing lifecycles.
  • Able to serve as a liaison between both business and technical teams.


Required Technical Skills

Application development using Microsoft tools.
  • Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning
  • GitHub, Visual Studio, Copilot Studio
  • Azure AI Services APIs
  • API and model expertise within the following Services: Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Vision, Azure AI Document Intelligence.
  • Strong proficiency in .NET, C# , Python
  • Strong understanding of Azure Cloud PaaS Services in general
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, pipelines and software engineering best practices
