We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with expertise in Fluent Commerce to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of our Order Management System (OMS) solutions. As a key technical leader, you will play a crucial role in guiding our engineering teams, ensuring best practices, and delivering scalable, high-performance OMS solutions for our clients.

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with expertise in Fluent Commerce to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of our Order Management System (OMS) solutions. As a key technical leader, you will play a crucial role in guiding our engineering teams, ensuring best practices, and delivering scalable, high-performance OMS solutions for our clients.
This role requires deep knowledge of Fluent Commerce, order orchestration, system integrations, and enterprise commerce solutions. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on technical expert and a strategic thinker who can collaborate across teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Fluent Commerce OMS solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Architect and implement order orchestration, inventory visibility, fulfillment, and return managementsolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, business analysts, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews to development teams working on OMS implementations.
- Ensure seamless integration of Fluent Commerce with ERP, eCommerce platforms, WMS, and other enterprise systems.
- Develop and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices to maintain system quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, optimizing system performance and scalability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and Fluent Commerce updates, proactively applying new features and improvements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in Order Management Systems (OMS).
- Strong expertise in Fluent Commerce, including configuration, customization, and API integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript (Node.js), GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven experience in microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of order lifecycle management, inventory management, and fulfillment orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, including working with ERP, CRM, eCommerce, and WMS platforms.
- Experience in leading technical teams, mentoring developers, and conducting code reviews.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an agile environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Fluent Commerce certification or prior implementations in large-scale enterprises.
- Knowledge of headless commerce architecture and MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) principles.
- Experience in DevOps practices, including monitoring and logging solutions (Kibana, Datadog, Splunk).
- Exposure to GraphQL-based commerce solutions and other OMS platforms.
