DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Department of Ambulatory Business Operations leads change to transform clinical operations across ambulatory clinics in the enterprise including UWMC Montlake and Northwest campuses, Harborview Medical Center, and UW Primary Care.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead project teams across the enterprise, providing clear direction and support, to ensure successful delivery of project objectives
Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation, while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations
Conduct thorough analysis of ambulatory operations to identify inefficiencies, i.e. patient flow, staff productivity, and resource allocation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions and implement process improvement initiatives leveraging lean methodologies and change management principles
Develop innovative solutions and initiatives aimed at streamlining workflows, reducing wait times, and improving the overall patient experience within ambulatory care settings
Develop comprehensive training programs for front-line staff, focusing on operational best practices, standardized procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in business, healthcare, or related field
Minimum of 6 years of experience in health care operations, clinic administration, process improvement and/or change management within a physician practice.
Demonstrated ability to develop, support and implement new services and programs
Proven ability to implement and sustain change/improvements (change champion)
Creative problem solver
Consulting and coaching
Time management
Financial and data analysis
Ability to successfully apply quality management, process improvement and problem-solving tools and methodologies
Demonstrated ability in critical thinking and analysis
Experience facilitating multidisciplinary groups
Microsoft application skills: Word, Excel, Visio, OneNote and Outloo.
Epic Application Skills: EpicCare, Prelude, Cadence, Referrals, and Templates
Knowledge of Healthcare Industry changes; Pay for performance, Accountable Care Networks, Value Based Purchasing, Meaningful Use, and Quality based measures
Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirement
