The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Utility Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to six (6) months or up to one (1) year, depending on employment status.**
Under general supervision, plans, schedules, and coordinates a broad spectrum of preventive and routine repair and emergency maintenance activities across all water and wastewater facilities and systems, using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) as a primary tool; and performs related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in maintenance and planning and scheduling. They possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excel in using maintenance management software, and have excellent organizational and time management abilities. The candidate is adept at collaborating with multiple teams and is committed to continuous improvement, enhancing equipment reliability, and reducing downtime. Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school, or the equivalent.
- Five (5) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of water and/or wastewater facilities and appurtenances, which includes two (2) years of experience directly related to planning and scheduling maintenance using CMMS software.
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483.
- Must obtain and maintain a Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) Plant Maintenance Technologist Grade II certification within eighteen months (18) months from the date of appointment as a condition of continued employment.*
- Must possess one of the following certifications at the time of application and must maintain the certification as a condition of continued employment:
