DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Experience implementing DevSecOps tools and processes, including CI/CD pipelines, security testing, and automation.
- Strong understanding of software architectures, embedded systems, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience in UAS, aerospace, or defense software development.
- Knowledge of cloud-based DevSecOps environments, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and security frameworks (Zero Trust, RMF).
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS), flight control software, or embedded development is preferred.
- Experience working in a DoD or military aviation environment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with disparate functional groups.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Familiarity with software safety standards for aircraft, such as RTCA/DO-178 and MIL-STD-882.
- Proven ability to develop and continuously improve software engineering processes.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of software engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices in DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and software safety.
- Experience overseeing the development, integration, and deployment of mission-critical software for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
- Ability to travel.
