Overview

The Customer Finance Sr. Analyst is an exciting role within PepsiCo Foods Canada (PFC) as it intersects between the Customer Sales and Finance teams. This role has responsibility for financial planning and analysis, including trade spend management, recovery of valid and invalid deductions, and support of period close and forecasting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Controls team and Customer Team to review, validate, and support recovery of valid and invalid deductions (ie. DSD Pricing, Post Audits)
  • Provide insights and recommendations for post audit process improvements
  • Support Period Close/Forecast and AOP processes, perform business analysis and address reporting and ad-hoc needs for Sobeys customer.
  • Review and match Sobeys billbacks to promotional events in a timely and accurate manner
  • Optimize reporting processes and drive standardization process across Sobeys account
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with finance teams and cross-functional leaders to understand customer deductions and the impact on trade spend and overall P&L
  • Identify and drive efficiencies to streamline and simplify trade spend processes.
  • Ensure PFC's Internal Control requirements are delivered with excellence - Team SOX ownership


Qualifications

  • University degree in Business; Accounting Designation / MBA an asset but not required
  • 5 years of related work experience in finance
  • Experience in consumer products industry and post audit function an asset
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills are a key requirement
  • Previous SAP, Power BI & BOBJ (Business Objects) software experience an asset
  • Strong ability to think critically and analyze financial problems
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with learning new software
  • Strong communication and collaboration with the ability to take initiative and embrace change
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail who can navigate ambiguity
  • Strong customer relations, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently (self-starter) with minimal supervision
