Responsibilities:
- Perform relief devices and sizing calculations per NFPA, API & ASME Codes
- Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA)
- Lead Dust Hazard Analyses (DHA)
- Create and update OSHA 14 Process Safety Management (PSM) elements and Risk Management Plan (RMP) audits
- Provide oversight for the site Management of Change (MOC) Process
- Provide oversight and conduct Pre-Startup Safety Review (SSR) audits
- Ensure adherence to engineering quality standards and codes of practice.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Industrial Process Design & Safety
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
- Proficiency with process design, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and process equipment such as pumps and heat exchangers.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a PSM-regulated industry.
- Knowledge of agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, biofuels, grain milling, pet food, or animal feed industries.
- Knowledge of combustible dust regulations and dust hazard mitigation.
- Prior experience in the consulting engineering industry.
- Experience with ChemCAD, Aspen, or similar process simulation software.
