Position Summary
The Department of Surgery in the School of Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking a BE/BC (or equivalent) plastic surgeon with fellowship training in hand surgery for an academic faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor; academic rank and track will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and stature in the field. Responsibilities include clinical care, research, and teaching in hand and plastic surgery. Some upper and lower extremity reconstruction, pediatric hand surgery and replants will be necessary. Clinical activities will be primarily centered at University Medical Center - New Orleans, a full service, regional facility. There are leadership opportunities within the department and also within the clinical partner hospital administration for candidates with leadership and management experience.
