What You Will Do
As Manager of Quality Operations & Program Management, you are responsible for developing and collaborating with staff to ensure data-driven performance management and quality improvement programs and operations are designed and implemented in a manner that aligns with IHI's overall strategy.

This position is open to residents of the State of Indiana, and requires routine presence at our Center in Indianapolis, IN. Frequency of on-site presence is dependent upon role and department needs.

What You Will Do
As Manager of Quality Operations & Program Management, you are responsible for developing and collaborating with staff to ensure data-driven performance management and quality improvement programs and operations are designed and implemented in a manner that aligns with IHI's overall strategy.
The Opportunity
- Participate in staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases and disciplinary action; evaluate staff and teams for continuous safety, quality, professional development and process improvement
- Oversee quality improvement activities/projects, policy management, patient satisfaction, incident reporting, and accreditation programs (AAAHC, ACHC, URAC, AC COE, HHT) to optimize efficiencies and drive quality excellence for patients, families, and staff
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on quality interventions and effectively communicate strategic corporate and quality initiatives
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration across multidisciplinary and disease-specific teams.
- Function as the point-of-contact for physicians, management, and staff on quality concerns to resolve administrative and operational barriers
- Ensure alignment of IHI strategies with national and regional goals to drive optimal healthcare outcomes for patients including data reports and dashboard visualizations that support long-term organization goals
- Collaborate on operational matters, committee involvement, and project management; participate in planning and facilitation of IHI goals as assigned
- Provide ad-hoc support for various organizational projects as they arise.
- Serve as backup for policy management and incident reporting system, managing tickets and addressing issues in the absence of the primary administrator
This position may require occasional travel for training/conferences as well as supporting IHI initiatives, as needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in related field preferred; Bachelor's degree in related field required
- Minimum 10 years of quality management experience in health care setting required
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Indiana preferred
Additional requirements:
- Knowledge of clinical operations and Continuous Quality Improvement principles, practices, methods, and tools
- Knowledge of computer applications including spreadsheets, medical records, and clinical care processes
- Knowledge of occupational health, safety hazards/standards, and health care laws/regulations
- Skill in conducting QA/QI checks of medical records and other clinical documentation and performing patient satisfaction surveys
- Ability to educate staff in both verbal and written form in formal and informal settings
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals at all levels of the medical practice
- All IHI employees are expected to enable multi-factor authentication via their personal smart phone/smart device in order to access IHI systems as a requirement of the role.
