WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
  • Supervise and coordinate the financial team in the Americas, including managing KPIs for the effective functioning of the team.
  • Lead the financial and accounting areas of the company(s).
  • Prepare relevant financial and accounting reports to track the company`s overall financial and administrative status.
  • Monitor cash flow, customer debts, supplier payments, banking relationships, and dealings with public funding institutions.
  • Manage public grants related to the activity.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, consultancy, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Coordinate and lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and report any deviations.
  • Prepare and publish monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reports.
  • Investigate accounting technical issues to ensure compliance.
  • Support the end-of-month and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and the presentation of financial reports to meet local, state, and federal tax reporting requirements.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Perform additional accounting tasks as needed and enhance systems and procedures, initiating corrective actions.
  • Responsible for leading audits throughout the year as needed.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in creating financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
  • Excellent administrative skills and proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and procedures, especially IFRS.
  • Practical experience with SAP-FICO accounting software.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including virtual lookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience with general ledger functions.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Experience as a junior controller or a BIG4 profile is a plus.
