International logistics company in the San Francisco area is seeking a Sales Manager who will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence in the international logistics sector. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales management, a deep understanding of international freight forwarding, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals.
- Set clear sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Recruit, train, and develop sales talent.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
- Business Development & Client Acquisition:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at potential and existing clients.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
- Market Analysis & Strategy:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, trade agreements, and market dynamics.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with internal departments (operations, customer service, finance) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- Maintain accurate records within the companies CRM.
- International Logistics Expertise:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and supply chain management.
- Provide expert advice and solutions to clients on international logistics needs.
- Stay informed about global trade regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and supply chain management.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Travel will be required.
