SUMMARY

The National Account Director, West is responsible for implementing the strategic plan for National Accounts which ultimately supports the revenue plan. Provide sales leadership in building a high performance selling organization for National Accounts. Research new business opportunities which align with the long-term strategic plan.

Ideal candidate will live in one of the following locations: Southern CA; Northern CA; Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO or Seattle, WA.

RESULTS AND EXPECTATIONS: other duties may be assigned as needed by the VP of National Accounts or EVP Sales
  • Develop a business plan that includes goals, objectives and strategies that ensure budget attainment of sales goals, margins and direct selling expenses to meet profit goals.
  • Directs implementation and execution of the sales strategy for National Accounts supporting Grocery, Retail, Industrial, Grocery, Retail, Property Management, GPO's and Service Providers.
  • Measure and ensure compliance in opportunity management through Salesforce.com.
  • Strong leadership skills in building, organizing and managing effective selling teams that consistently deliver predictable, sustainable, superior results.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining Key Account Relationships.
  • Responsible for coaching, directing and developing direct reports.
  • Responsible for locating new opportunities by visiting existing and new customers.
  • Make presentations to various groups within the customer's organization when needed.
  • Will be the final review person on the written proposal in response to customer's RFP, and ensuring all information from the different disciplines are in conjunction to meeting end users identified needs.
  • Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources on industry movement.


Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors Degree in Business with emphasis in sales or marketing
  • 7 - 10 years of managerial experience
  • 7 - 10 years of Jan San National Account experience

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel selling strategies
  • Knowledge and experience in consultative selling
  • Leadership experience in managing selling organizations
  • Proven performance management skills
