Role

To direct the operations of a small Credit Union facility (usually up to 4 people), ensuring the branch meets or exceeds all sales and service goals designated within the Branch Manager's scorecard. Primary responsibilities include training staff to handle difficult or complex member transactions, providing continual cross-training to ensure a back up is designated for all key branch functions and coaching staff on the sales and service behaviors necessary to provide the best possible service to all Members.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs, coaches, motivates, hires and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and insures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
  • Monitors all branch activities to insure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
  • Ensures budgets are met and goals are attained.
  • Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience: Two to Five years of similar or related experience.
  • Education: A college degree or related experience.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work will involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities becomes necessary.
  • Other Skills: Must have excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of regulations relating to all Credit Union deposit and loan products (i.e. Reg CC, Reg E, Reg D, Reg Z, TILA, BSA, OFAC, IRAs, Account Administration, Funds Availability, TISA)

Salary Minimum

USD $69,090.10/Yr.

Salary Maximum

USD $103,635.00/Yr.
