Compensation: $88,000 - $92,500 annually

Status: 100% Full-time, Non-exempt, Union

Probation: 180 Days

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The Center's Development department is responsible for the fundraising to support the Center's many programs and services that are not financially supported by government grants. The department raises nearly $16 million through individual gifts, private foundation grants, estate and legacy gifts as well as several fundraising events which include major event such as the annual Vanguard Awards Gala, Simply diVine, OUT Under the Stars film screenings and also AIDS/LifeCycle. The Development department also oversees opportunities for community engagement through Membership and the Center's Volunteers Resources department.

JOB SUMMARY: The CRM Database Manager will bolster the Center's strategic use of data by overseeing the design of the Center's Salesforce CRM database and orchestrating any major system changes. This position will enable a 360 view of the Center's constituents through collaborations with other departments, including but not limited to Marketing and Communications, Finance, Administration, Cultural Arts, Volunteer Resources, AIDS/LifeCycle, Policy, Facilities (Events), and Culinary Arts. In concert with Information Technology the CRM Database Manager will provide training, support, and resources to data stewards within each department, as well as to end users throughout the Center.

% of Role ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

100% Data Management & Security
Create and manage a data model to track donations, event attendance, volunteer activities, website interactions, direct mail campaigns, and staff communications.
Oversee migration of historical data and develop processes for accurate, efficient data imports from various sources.
Manage database security, including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, workflows, and groups.
Implement secure and reliable data backups for emergency scenarios.
Design an intuitive user interface that encourages adoption and presents constituent information effectively.
Develop training materials to onboard new Salesforce users and introduce new features to existing users.
Automate constituent management using declarative and programmatic Salesforce tools.
Identify and oversee the secure integration of cost-effective third-party products with Salesforce.
Provide accurate constituent data to Marketing and Communications teams.
Segment constituent data for targeted outreach while ensuring legal compliance for external communications.
Write intermediate-level custom code for typical use cases using Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Visualforce
Collaborate with consulting support for complex use cases by understanding and effectively communicating user needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of or experience working with the LGBTQ community and familiarity with issues of particular relevance to LGBTQ people.
A passion for the Center's work and its mission to make the world a better place for LGBTQ people.
Minimum 5 years' experience as administrator of Salesforce or commensurate CRM system.
Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM201), or equivalent knowledge/skills.
Knowledge of relational databases, including basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, Pivot tables, and VBA (macros).
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Apex, or a similar object-oriented programming language.
Project management skills for managing outside resources as well as internal project teams for major enhancements and integrations.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expression, socio-economic backgrounds, religions, ages, English-speaking abilities, immigration status, and physical abilities in a multicultural environment.
