This role also collaborates with third-party vendors to evaluate, implement, and optimize technology solutions that support project controls functions.
Essential Functions:
Project Controls & Execution:
- Lead project controls processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain cost reports, schedules, cash flows, earned value metrics, and forecasts.
- Analyze scheduling data, perform "what-if" scenarios, and track project progress.
- Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction planning, logistics, and cost control.
- Manage project budgets, contingency costs, and change orders in collaboration with project teams.
- Support audits and reporting through cost tracking, risk assessment, and variance analysis.
Technology & System Configuration:
- Configure and maintain project control software and tools to improve efficiency.
- Set up projects in Enterprise Planning & Controls systems and ensure seamless data integration.
- Automate workflows, enhance reporting, and implement process improvements using technology.
- Evaluate and deploy new tools to enhance project controls, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure system compatibility, functionality enhancements, and user adoption.
Innovation, Process Improvement & Vendor Collaboration:
- Identify and implement technology-driven solutions to streamline project execution.
- Develop and test automation and digital tools to optimize scheduling, forecasting, and reporting.
- Research emerging technologies and present solutions for improved project management.
- Collaborate with vendors to explore new software capabilities and ensure system optimization.
- Provide training and support for teams to maximize technology adoption and utilization.
- Attend industry events and vendor showcases to stay informed on trends and drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related degree from an accredited program and 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the consulting industry required or Associate Degree and 9 years of relevant experience, preferably in the consulting industry required or High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the consulting industry required
- Strong knowledge and proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures for project and program management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent presentations skill with internal and external audiences of various sizes.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CAD platforms, GIS, analysis programs, and data acquisition platforms.
- Strong knowledge in computer logic and data analytics preferred.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability of advanced learning of new concepts and applying knowledge to deliverables.
- Engineers in Training-EIT Certification preferred
