Job Description
Your Role
The Associate Media Relations Manager will support the efforts of the Media Relations team, helping to drive the execution of strategic communications efforts at Invesco.
As a member of a global Corporate Communications team, you will interact with the financial media, Invesco executives and internal partners in Marketing, Branding and Internal Communications. The responsibilities of this role will allow an appropriate candidate to become familiar with Invesco's services, products, and strategies, as well as build important experience in media relations at a leading asset manager.

Your Role
The Associate Media Relations Manager will support the efforts of the Media Relations team, helping to drive the execution of strategic communications efforts at Invesco.

The responsibilities of this role will allow an appropriate candidate to become familiar with Invesco's services, products, and strategies, as well as build important experience in media relations at a leading asset manager.

Responsibilities include:
- Manage the process for media measurement and metrics.
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports for the firm overall as well as for identified business areas.
- Utilize digital tools to manage the daily distribution of the firm's global news to employees.
- Create and maintain media lists.
- Develop and update editorial calendars.
- Monitor news on competitors and the industry and share internally as appropriate.
- Facilitate delivery and approvals for certain product-related regulatory press releases.
- Contribute to media plans that promote a favorable public reputation for the firm.
- Draft collateral for media engagement, such as pitches, press releases and media alerts.
- Support the development of materials used to prepare executives for interactions with the media.
- Support the Media Relations team on pitching news stories.
- Develop and maintain productive and positive relationships with relevant members of the news media.
- Collaborate with other members of the global Media Relations team as well as colleagues in Internal Communications, Marketing and Distribution.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Media Relations team leaders.
The experience you bring:
- A Bachelor's Degree and one to three years of experience in communications and/or media relations with a preference for experience in financial markets and/or asset management.
- Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to be articulate and persuasive.
- Past involvement in working cross functionally and collaborating with different groups or business units.
- Experience in supporting the execution of a strategic media relations framework.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects/initiatives and work effectively in a team setting.
- Capable of establishing clear priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
- Conducts business in compliance with all Company policies, local laws and industry regulations.
- Preferred experience with digital media monitoring platforms and tools.
- Understands and follows the Invesco Code of Conduct.
- Additional Compensation Description
The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in New York City is $85k-$95k annually.
