Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Senior Water Construction Project Manager with hands-on experience in construction management of potable water treatment facilities in a doer-seller role. The project is a $180 million water treatment plant upgrade. The successful candidate will act as the owner's advisor, provide expert advice to the client as needed and manage specific CM functions including SWPPP, safety, risk, quality assurance, as built drawings and asset management. This position will manage a SCADA and electrical inspection subcontractor as well as a plant shut down and start up specialist. The position will also pursue additional potable and recycled water engineering projects with the client.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on construction management, QA/QC, risk and inspection of potable water facilities.
  • Maintain client relationship and develop proposals for new projects.
  • Manage subcontractor performing inspection, submittal and RFI review for SCADA and electrical systems.
  • Provide technical recommendations on plant shutdowns, scheduling, and claims.
  • Oversee SWPP technician and electrical inspection subcontractor.
  • Review and provide recommendations for cost estimates, invoices, and schedules.
  • Supervise maintenance of project records, correspondence, and filing systems.
  • Manage complex projects and diverse teams of client and subconsultant technical and non-technical staff to develop consensus, remain within budget and deliver projects on schedule.
  • Train and mentor junior staff.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Civil Engineering preferred
  • 10-15 years of Civil Engineering experience required
  • 5-10 years of Water Construction Project Management required
  • 5 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • California Civil Engineering Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of current potable water treatment processes, systems and regulations
  • Experience managing the construction of potable water facilities including treatment and distribution systems
  • Experience managing potable water facility construction inspection
  • Experience in developing and implementing quality management plans and safety/risk management on construction projects
  • Experience interpreting specifications, preparing cost estimates and schedules for potable water infrastructure
  • Acumen to manage complex stakeholder relationships and mentor junior staff
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revue and automated scheduling software
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project

Pay Range: $160,000 - $220,000 per year

Work Environment: 100% Onsite in San Jose, CA

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship
