Job Title: Rehabilitation Therapy Professional
Job Specialty: Physical Therapist

Certifications: Maintain necessary PT skills and certifications

Job Description:
- Implement patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength.
- Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files.
- Guide and monitor patient care, ensuring quality and effective treatment.
- Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.
- Communicate with physicians and other personnel to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and address any questions they may have.
- Work closely with the front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up.
- Possess computer skills necessary to complete job requirements, including typing, Word, Internet, and EMR.
- Be able to make independent decisions regarding patient care.
- Participate in business marketing and referral processes as needed.
- Adhere to HIPAA policy and procedures.
- Understand PT billing policies and procedures for various payment methods.
- Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing services.
- Be physically mobile, including being able to engage in sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour workdays, based on patient care schedules.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds and assist in moving patients with mobility restraints.
- Ensure patient safety during transfer and mobility assistance.
- Protect patient privacy in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
- Report any concerns regarding patient privacy policies to the designated Privacy Officer.
- Participate actively in company privacy training.
- Communicate privacy policy information to coworkers, students, and patients.
- Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
