Nextracker is seeking an Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Compliance Specialist to ensure compliance with federal and state labor regulations related to construction projects funded by the IRA. This role will be responsible for processing and reviewing Certified Payroll Reports, monitoring prevailing wage compliance, and ensuring proper apprenticeship program implementation in alignment with IRA requirements. The specialist will also assist in developing compliance policies and procedures while serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding IRA-related compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

IRA Compliance & Payroll Oversight
  • Review and verify certified payroll records, fringe benefit statements, training contributions, and apprenticeship documents for compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensure proper reporting of prevailing wages, fringe benefits, and apprentice utilization while addressing any employee wage discrepancies.
  • Communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, and external agencies to resolve compliance-related issues.
  • Stay updated on changes to federal, state, and local labor compliance and prevailing wage regulations, applying updates as needed.
  • Develop and implement IRA labor compliance policies, procedures, templates, and instructional materials to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports summarizing compliance reviews, findings, and key data for stakeholders.
  • Serve as the lead compliance expert in pre-bid and pre-construction meetings, educating teams on IRA labor compliance requirements.
  • Act as a backup for the Payroll Manager, assisting with full payroll processing, prevailing wage calculations, and tax reporting as needed.


Apprenticeship Program Development & Administration
  • Develop, implement, and administer a comprehensive apprenticeship program in compliance with IRA requirements.
  • Ensure apprentice participation goals are met and aligned with federal, state, and local apprenticeship regulations.
  • Track, monitor, and document apprentice utilization to ensure compliance with IRA labor mandates.
  • Collaborate with training providers and workforce development agencies to establish and maintain apprenticeship partnerships.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams and subcontractors on apprenticeship requirements and best practices.


Qualifications & Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in multi-state payroll processing.
  • 2+ years of experience working with prevailing wage projects and certified payroll.
  • 1+ year of experience using LCP Tracker software.
  • Strong understanding of Inflation Reduction Act labor standards and prevailing wage laws.
  • Experience developing administrative policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Salary Range Applicable to California: $50,000-$130,000
