Description:

We're seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to develop and deploy automated assembly and test equipment and processes for our next generation of traction inverters. In this role, you'll focus on creating efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing processes that meet our product and production targets.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cutting-edge manufacturing equipment and processes that enable high-volume production of traction inverters
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles are applied to new product designs
  • Work with equipment integrators and suppliers to design, manufacture, and install equipment for medium to high-volume production
  • Apply various manufacturing techniques, such as joining methods (fastening, welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding) and quality assurance methods (vision inspection, leak testing, electrical testing)
  • Deploy manufacturing processes and equipment to high-volume production, including tool qualification, process documentation, and training
  • Ramp processes to meet high-volume production targets (cycle time, availability, yield, quality, reliability) and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex problems using data-driven decision making, collaborative leadership, and rigorous problem-solving methods


Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, with a track record of developing and optimizing complex assembly processes in high-volume automated production environments
  • Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment and applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Automation (DFA) principles
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for designing mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling
  • Strong understanding of lean and six sigma principles, with experience using tools like DMAIC, RCA, DOE, FMEA, PCA, SPC, and Kaizen
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data using tools like MySQL, Python, R, JMP, or Tableau to inform decisions

      $104,000 - $198,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
