The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
FT position available (40 hours), daytime hours, Monday - Friday
Seeking a compassionate and skilled Ambulatory Endocrine Nurse. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and other hormonal imbalances. The ideal candidate will work closely with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care in an outpatient setting. Care delivery includes triage and responding to patient messages and calls, perform dynamic endocrine diagnostic testing, provide patient education on medication administration, glucose monitoring, and lifestyle modifications. Required Skills: Must have a NYS nursing license; ability to facilitate and lead a team approach to population based care as needed; willing to participate in ongoing education/training to improve patient coaching skills; interacts effectively with all members of health care team, patients and their caregivers; excellent writing and communication skills; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and skills in multi-tasking/prioritizing/medical care coordination.
