Job Title: Nurse Manager, Behavioral Health
Job Specialty: Nurse Manager in Behavioral Health

Shift: Day Shift 8A-4:30P
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum five years as a Registered Nurse and five years of clinical experience in psychiatry, with at least two years in a leadership role
License: Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse
Certifications: Basic Life Support, ACLS, Crisis Management (PMCS, TRUST)
Must-Have: Critical thinking, math, and computer skills; team player; knowledge of quality improvement models and processes; competence in leadership, budgetary, and administrative skills
Job Description:
- Responsible for the daily operation and clinical supervision of nursing staff within the Inpatient Service.
- Clinically and administratively oversee all activities to ensure quality patient care aligned with regulatory standards and evidence-based clinical management.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and employees while promoting a positive public perception.
- Implement hospital policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory codes and regulations.
- Manage unit operations in collaboration with leadership, coordinating interdisciplinary performance improvement activities.
- Assemble and prepare data for clinical activities, statistical reports, and compliance standards for regulatory agency surveys.
- Monitor admissions and discharges to ensure effective clinical management and discharge planning.
- Oversee 24-hour operational leadership, ensuring all patient care standards and ethical policies are met.
- Provide administrative coverage for the Nursing Department as needed.
- Participate in continuing education to enhance administrative and clinical knowledge.
- Implement best practices in patient care and assume responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and development with team and service.
