Creation Technologies is seeking for a Commodity Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience within electronics contract manufacturer industry, to develop and implement a commodity management strategy for electrical components used in the electronic industry in our pursuit to be the premier EMS provider to the aerospace/defense, medical, and tech industrial markets. Reporting to the Leader of electrical commodities, you will work closely with existing Creation's supply base, manufacturing and supply chain business units, product engineering and design center teams to define and coordinate the commodity management and supply chain strategy for your commodities such resistors, capacitors, magnetics, oscillators / crystals and circuit protection devices, diodes, micro controllers, processors etc.

Based on your extensive knowledge and experience of the electronics industry, you will negotiate competitive prices and business conditions that should drive a competitive advantage for Creation's customers base. You will support process improvements and supply chain best practices across multiple procurement teams in USA, Canada, Mexico and China.
  • Define a list of strategic suppliers that will support Creation's business model in the best possible way (PSL)
  • Define and implement a comprehensive methodology to qualify, rank and promote preferred suppliers for electrical components
  • Contract negotiations such non-disclosure agreements, inventory management programs, warranties coverage, payment terms, incoterms etc.
  • Support implementation and execution of an effective commodity management quarter negotiation process that should drive competitive prices for passives components
  • Coordinate the business allocation with PSL suppliers to ensure commodity management strategy implementation
  • Develop high level business relationships with strategic suppliers and passives components manufacturers
  • Escalation point for issues related with supply chain constrains and or pricing related topics
  • Collect and update market intelligence about your commodities from suppliers in order to mitigate risk and optimize supply chain


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electronics or electrical engineering, supply chain management, business administration or other relevant work experience.
  • At least 10 years of international experience within a large contract manufacturer in the electronics industry.
  • At least 7 years of international experience with global commodity management or commodity sourcing in a large contract manufacturer in the electronics industry.
  • Strong technical understanding (or technical background is preferred) in electrical and electronics components mainly used for high reliability solutions.
  • Advance knowledge and understanding of the global electronics market, able to identify competitive advantages, risk, and opportunities across the electronics supply base.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage/influence across a multi-national organization, engaging network of decision makers to overcome barriers that impede projects/programs.
  • Demonstrate ability and international experience to negotiate prices, contracts, and business terms on behalf of end customers related with electronics industry.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25% domestically and internationally.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $70,000-95,000 CAD. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
