Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of the Neuroscience & Orthopedic Service Lines functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in both the hospital and outpatient clinic setting. Responsible for strategic planning, growth, and quality for the hospital and outpatient clinic. Supervises the outpatient clinic leaders for leader development and accountability. Responsible for physician day-to-day communication, advocacy, problem solving, and recognition. Maintains 24-hour accountability.

The Director of Neuroscience and Orthopedic Services is also responsible for the coordination, planning, deployment and management of assigned programs, including, but not limited to the Total Joint Program, M60 (Mature Fracture Program), Pre-Admission Testing, iCORE data entry and utilization oversight, and others that may be assigned. This role will track performance of the orthopedic service line in accordance with HCA and Service Line goals (growth, quality, practice guidelines, etc.) and identify opportunities to streamline care practice, for example through development of evidence-based guidelines. This role will also include program marketing, outreach, and internal and external community education and seminars.

The Director of Neuroscience & Orthopedic Services is a leader for: development for the elective surgery strategies; surgeon relationships; clinic and hospital performance, and other duties as assigned.

Must be comfortable and skilled at working with physicians, healthcare providers and other stakeholders in the organization. Have knowledge of The Joint Commission, State Health Department regulations and other regulations and laws. Have the ability to interpret their intent and application. Demonstrates the ability to handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure. Must be able to function independently. Participates in evaluating and establishing systems to meet policies or needs. Evaluates and/or develops new procedures, equipment and methodologies. Demonstrates good communication skills. Must have knowledge of physician practice strategies for growth and efficiency. Must have knowledge of the medical community and familiar with hospital operations.

What qualifications you will need:
    • Bachelors Degree required
    • Minimum 2 - 3 years in Neurosciences and/or Orthopedic service line leadership, strategy, business plan development and execution.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to multitask, keep focused on goals/timelines.
