ADP is hiring a Chief Financial Officer - Delaware Investment Center

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the ADP Delaware Investment Center will lead a team of six professionals, responsible for accounting, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis. The role also oversees trading operations. The CFO will hold CFO positions for a number of legal entities, including ADP Trust Company, NA, a trust bank which is regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC); and the CFO will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Delaware Investment Center manages fixed income portfolios with approximately $40 billion in assets under management. The portfolios include corporate bonds, government securities (US Treasury, Agencies, Canadian government and Canadian government agency obligations, and Canadian provincial bonds), asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounting and Finance
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and present quarterly earnings package to senior management.
  • Lead the annual operating plan, and 3-year strategic plan forecasts.
  • Establish internal controls, implement operating procedures and best practices, work with internal and external auditors, and ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) requirements.
  • Manage the Delaware Investment Center's budget and approve expense as appropriate.
  • Trading Operations
  • Oversee trading operations covering fixed income securities, overnight investments and reverse repurchases transactions, including portfolio accounting, trade processing and settlement, cash reconciliations, corporate actions and record keeping.
  • Review quarterly pricing validation and ASC820 reporting for ADP's consolidated financial statements.
  • Manage relationships with custodians and banking partners.
  • ADP Trust Company (ADPTC)
  • Oversee the timely filing of the Reports of Condition and Income (Call Report) in compliance with FFIEC banking requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with OCC's regulatory requirements.
  • Present quarterly financial review to the ADPTC board.
  • Lead the vendor management program, service provider contingency plan and annual ADPTC policy review.
  • Work with the technology team on Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan. Provide annual updates to the ADPTC board.
  • Prepare and present quarterly reports to the ADPTC Investment Committee.
  • Together with President of ADPTC, take a leadership role in the OCC full scope exam.
  • Stakeholder management
  • Provide strategic advice and decision support to President and ADP management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, regulators (OCC), legal and compliance teams, vendors, and banking partners.
  • Lead recruiting, talent management, and development within the finance team.


We are working in a hybrid work environment. This role will require someone to work out of our Wilmington, DE office three days a week with the flexibility to work from home the other two days a week.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field (required)
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA),CPA or equivalent professional designation (preferred)
  • 15+ years in finance/accounting, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
  • Proven leadership, management, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial operations.
