We are seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate all aspects of projects, combining technical program management, field testing and validation, and deployment expertise to ensure optimal outcomes. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

As a TIPM, you will lead medium to large-scale, cross-functional projects and initiatives. You will work at local, regional, and global levels to implement solutions that enhance system configurations, workflow efficiencies, performance metrics, and overall customer experience. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders to deliver meaningful results and tangible productivity gains.

This is a highly collaborative position where you will work closely with various teams, including Design Engineers, Project Intake and Governance Specialists, and field sites. You will own the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and coordination to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include developing test plans, managing the capital request process, establishing audit processes, and creating action plans for underperforming components.

Key aspects of this role include stakeholder management, change management, quality assurance, and knowledge management. You will be expected to communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and process changes. Your expertise in problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies will be crucial in identifying and implementing process enhancements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key job responsibilities
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones
Coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate effective communication
Align project goals with overall program objectives and manage project scope
Develop and execute field testing plans, analyzing results and recommending improvements
Create and manage deployment plans, including pilot programs and capital request processes
Engage with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and manage expectations
Monitor system performance post-deployment and implement continuous improvements
Collaborate on change management processes and ensure adherence to governance frameworks
Oversee quality assurance measures throughout the project
Document lessons learned and contribute to the organization's knowledge base
Identify and manage resource needs throughout the project lifecycle
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects
Prepare regular status reports and presentations for management
Collaborate with Design Engineers on vendor relationships and deliverables
Ensure adherence to the Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement Process
Conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions for identified issues

A day in the life

Starting with a team stand-up to review project progress and address any blockers. Next, they might lead a cross-functional meeting to discuss integration challenges between systems. Midday could involve analyzing performance metrics and preparing a status report for senior management. In the afternoon, they might conduct a risk assessment workshop with stakeholders, followed by updating project timelines based on new information. Later, they could review and approve change requests, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks. The day might conclude with a call to a vendor to discuss deliverable timelines, and finally, documenting lessons learned from a recently completed project phase.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
Experience in project management, preferably in technical or IT environments
Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
Experience with field testing, validation, and deployment processes
Proficiency in project management tools and software
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in a relevant field
PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification
Experience with ITIL, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
Knowledge of change management principles and practices
Experience in a global or multi-site organization
Familiarity with technical infrastructure and IT systems
Track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations
Proficiency in data analysis and performance metric tracking
Knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards
Experience with capital request processes and financial planning for projects
