How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region:
Talent Acquisition Specialists administer the recruitment and selection process in a timely, customer service-oriented, and cost-effective manner for our Information Services department. This position is responsible for the overall recruitment and selection procedure, delivering quality candidates to hiring managers, and representing the organization to prospective employees. We are hiring either a Talent Acquisition Specialist or a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, depending on experience.
The salary range for the Talent Acquisition Specialist is $35.37 to $57.41 per hour, with an annualized range of $73,570 to $119,413.
The salary range for the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is $41.34 to $67.08 per hour, with an annualized salary of $85,987 to $139,526.
The starting salary will be based on the selected candidate's experience, skills, education, and internal salary equity. It includes a generous benefits package, including eligibility for annual salary increases.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (remote/onsite combination). The candidate's permanent residence must be in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
There are two vacancies at our Robert Street facility at 390 Robert Street in Saint Paul and one at our Heywood Office at 560 6th Avenue North in Minneapolis.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an entry-level position within Talent Management. The position is responsible for routine recruitment and selection assignments and will also lead and participate in small HR-related projects.

What you would do in this job
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an entry-level position within Talent Management. The position is responsible for routine recruitment and selection assignments and will also lead and participate in small HR-related projects.
- Administers routine recruitment and selection processes, ensuring high-quality candidates apply for vacancies
- Assists the Senior Acquisition Specialist with administrative tasks associated with recruitment and selection, including testing, data entry, appointment scheduling, answering questions, etc.
- Coordinates communication with hiring managers and applicants to ensure timely, accurate information regarding their status, the position, and/or the process.
- Coordinates the interview process.
- Completes pre-hire steps on a selected candidate to ensure salary is approved and the candidate meets all requirements of the position
- Complies and follows policies, procedures, union contracts, and laws during recruitment.
- Participates and attends job fairs and hiring events.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Manages full-cycle recruitment and selection processes within Council policies, procedures, and department practices; executes recruitment strategies and identifies recruiting sources that generate a quality applicant pool; and provides guidance to managers regarding recruiting, interviewing, selection, and hiring processes within Council policy, bargaining agreements, and applicant tracking systems.
- Responsible for the design/development of candidate testing/selection. Administers valid selection tools..
- Develops a robust candidate pipeline using strong communication and influencing skills and advises managers on best practices and techniques.

- Participates in and leads medium- to large-scale HR-related projects.
- Participates and attends job fairs and hiring events.
