Job Description
Job Title: Ultrasound Technician General II
Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Guaranteed Hours: May be called off for up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without compensation for canceled hours.
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
License: Must have Illinois license in hand
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required, NIH preferred
Must-Have: Must be able to secure housing, complete all compliance needs promptly, and complete the full assignment with no attendance/behavior issues
Job Description:
- Work in a critical access facility with a 25-bed capacity and an average daily census of 19.
- Responsible for ultrasound procedures, ensuring accuracy and quality in imaging.
- Will be required to work every other weekend and provide call coverage from 7am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Must float within the scope and skill level to meet facility needs, potentially within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals.
- Must participate in mandatory orientation and complete necessary virtual modules.
- Required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- First-timers are not accepted; local candidates are welcome.
- Complete necessary documentation, lab appointments, Docusigns, and badge photos within one week of signing the contract.
- Follow all health and safety requirements, including the flu vaccine, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.
- Utilize Cerner for charting; previous experience required.
- Modules up to 16 hours are non-billable but must be completed on the first day.
