Optim Health is seeking a full time IT Director for our Savannah, GA location.
Job Title: Information Technology Director
Department: Information Technology
Immediate Supervisor Title: CFO
Job Supervisory Responsibilities: IT Technical Assistant, Computer Support Specialist, Communications Specialist, Program Analyst, Database Administrator
General Summary: An exempt, management position responsible for planning, directing, developing, and maintaining the medical practice's information technology, including computers, computer networks and servers, computer programs, telecommunications, Website, and other technologies.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all IT aspects of Optim Health System to include; 2 Hospitals, 2 Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Business Offices and multiple Physician Clinic locations throughout Southeast Georgia
2. Develops mission, plan, goals, policies, and budget for IT department.
3. Works with management team to identify strategic IT needs and establishes priorities for upgrades and modifications in line with clinic goals.
4. Develops, recommends, coordinates, and implements new or revised procedures, policies, programs, and equipment to ensure IT effectiveness.
5. Assists in correcting technical problems and issues as needed.
6. Ensures that computer hardware, including all computers, fax machines, printer, copiers, etc., function properly on a daily basis.
7. Develops and implements effective data backup and hardware security procedures and policies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology.
Experience: Minimum five years of experience in managing information technology in a health care setting.

Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of data analysis, systems design, problem identification, and medical data processing practice.
2. Knowledge of computer and server hardware, software, and data communications including comparability and system configuration.
3. Knowledge basic programming languages.
4. Knowledge of fiscal management.
Skills:
1. Skill in using communication methods to elicit information, negotiate, resolve problems, and garner support.
2. Skill over a broad range of functional information technology management.
3. Skill in programming and project management if necessary to resolve critical problems, coordinate simultaneous efforts, recover from data loss, speed up development, and improve program efficiencies.
Abilities:
1. Ability to resolve conflicts productively.
2. Ability to separate problems into components and recognize underlying patterns and processes.
3. Ability to be oriented to end-user needs.
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking, bending, stretching, or standing the remainder. May require lifting up to 30 pounds.
