Job Summary
Applies IT professional concepts, department / unit and campus / medical center / OP policies and procedures to resolve a variety of moderately complex issues in one or more IT areas of specialization. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
The Imaging IT Infrastructure team supports a highly complex and interconnected Imaging environment, critical to the UCSF Medical Center and the UCSF School of Medicine. Within the Imaging IT group, we promote growth and development of skills to meet the ever-changing needs of the Department and the Enterprise. This position will not only work as a junior level infrastructure administrator but will also incorporate the specific needs of imaging applications and imaging data flows.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $73,500 - $126,500 (Annual Rate).

This position will be responsible for
- Registering imaging systems, applications, contracts, etc, and maintaining records within CMDB.
- Tuning monitoring systems and creating performance dashoards.
- Monitoring and tracking performance of imaging systems and workflows.
- Assisting Sr Solutions Architect on projects as needed.
- Assisting Security Lead on security compliance projects and tasks as needed.
- Participating in the day-to-day operational duties for server, storage, network and virtualization infrastructures.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Minimum of 1 year in Enterprise IT environment or in related work experience
- General knowledge of several areas of IT.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
- Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates problem-solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years in an Imaging IT environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer security tools, best practices, and policies. Demonstrated skills in applying security controls to computer software and hardware.
- Demonstrated understanding of how system management actions affect users and dependent/related functions, including Imaging system-specific impacts.
- Knowledge of data management systems, practices, and standards.
- Basic knowledge of CMDB and inventory management tools.
- Basic knowledge of performance monitoring in an Enterprise IT environment and use of monitoring tools
- Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware).
- General knowledge of Health Care application workflows.
- Understanding and experience with Imaging/DICOM.
