Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Specialty: Therapy - Inpatient Rehab
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours:
Experience: Minimum 1 year
License: Texas Occupational Therapy License
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have: Inpatient Rehab therapy experience
Job Description:
- Provide occupational therapy services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Collaborate with a cohesive and collaborative team of nurses, physicians, case managers, and therapists.
- Utilize a gym with hi/low parallel bars, lifts, Nu-Step, ADL kitchen, and bathroom equipment for patient therapy.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 4 patients per therapist.
- Participate in a rotating weekend shift once per month.
- Work with a variety of diagnoses for acute inpatient rehab stays.
- May be assigned patients in an acute setting if necessary.
- Demonstrate flexibility, cheerfulness, and the ability to motivate patients.
- Wear Caribbean blue scrubs as part of the dress code.
