Microsoft Advertising is at the forefront of the digital advertising industry and empowers advertisers around the world to reach and expand their potential through our full-funnel digital marketing solutions. Central to our success is our portfolio of Owned and Operated (O&O) publishers that bring a unique, globally scaled audience and innovative advertising solutions to our advertising customers. We are looking for an initiative-taking Business Planner to lead Microsoft Advertising's engagement with our Owned and Operated publisher partners. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business planning and strategy to ensure alignment with publisher goals and to ensure that the solutions Microsoft Advertising takes to market meet customer needs and benefits from our diverse set of publisher partners.
This role involves strategic planning, collaboration, and staying ahead in the dynamic digital advertising landscape. By focusing on building strong partnerships, understanding the advertising market and how our publisher partners can deliver customer value in a scalable way, you will contribute to Microsoft's success in this ever-evolving industry.

Responsibilities:
Joint business planning and relationship management:
- Develop annual and quarterly plans to align publisher goals and initiatives with annual revenue targets and the objectives of our advertising business.
- Ensure that publisher plans are accretive to the overall Microsoft Advertising strategy and product roadmap and contribute to our broad portfolio of publisher offerings.
- Create and own forums to review business results, identify challenges and opportunities, and to ensure a strong connection between our O&O Publishers and Microsoft Advertising.
- Ensure alignment of prioritization across publisher teams, advertising sales, and our ad platform teams to deliver on key initiatives to drive publisher ad revenue.
- Create a framework for new publisher product releases to ensure we can effectively sell and support new offerings to advertisers in a scalable way.
- Collaborate across Sales, Revenue Management, and Publisher teams to provide opportunity sizing and market fit guidance for new opportunities to inform prioritization.
- Collaborate with the Market Intelligence team to identify the Addressable Market for O&O Publisher offerings and where a publisher can help fill market gaps.
- Collaborate with the publisher to ensure appropriate audience metrics and market-level details are available to enable sales to effectively pitch both specific publisher solutions as well as the broader Microsoft Advertising portfolios
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of digital advertising experience such as publisher monetization, programmatic monetization and/or agency experience
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
