Structural Engineer Salt Lake City UT Pay$65-$75+
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the engineering design support of small to large heavy industrial projects (Oil, Gas, Mining, Energy, Petrochemical, Material Handling, etc.). Will be supervised by upper level engineering staff and/or project managers with the ability to direct designers and drafting staff.
The ability to be a self-starter requiring direction, but minimal supervision.
The candidate will be capable of committing to and maintaining to a project timeline.
The ability to document and track project tasks and related design documents is required (strong organizational skills).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of applicable codes used for design, machining, fabrication and assembly techniques is also required.
Experience in structural design software; RAM Steel, RISA, STAAD, and FEA tools a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum
- 5 years of engineering experience in an Industrial engineering setting either as a direct employee, or through a consulting firm.Previous work directly with an operating company a plus.
- Must have heavy industrial site experience and knowledge of process plants, steel structures, concrete structures, and footings.Experience in other Civil areas; stormwater, site work, road design, building design, water collection/distribution, tank design, retention basins, as well as design experience in other disciplines a plus.
- Good interpersonal and customer relations skills are essential. Must be a self-starter and have ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and have the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
