Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced Controller to manage our organization's financial operations. This role is a direct report to the President and leads a small finance team that manages budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, payroll, accounts payable, and financial operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee, manage and present the company's financial results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
  • Budget & Forecasting: Develop, model and manage budgets for both operational and capital expenditures utilizing our FP&A system. Lead short-term and long-term financial planning and forecasting processes, identify trends and make recommendations to optimize future financial performance
  • Accounting & Analysis: Supervise all accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions and preparing detailed financial reports including reviewing performance metrics and providing strategic recommendations

Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance is required and near completion of an Accounting Designation is desired
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, including supervisory experience
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Experience in managing financial operations for organizations with a headcount of 200+ employees
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities with experience presenting to stakeholders
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Prophix is considered an asset

Compensation and Logistics:
  • Base salary, variable bonus established at the corporate level, competitive benefits package
  • Full time, permanent
  • Based out of Kelowna, BC
  • Work Location: In-Person (1620 Dickson Avenue, Kelowna BC)
