Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-to-senior Employment & Labor Associate to join a leading Employment & Labor practice group in Los Angeles (Santa Monica & Downtown) or San Diego. This role offers a mix of employment counseling, litigation, and transactional work, providing a well-rounded practice in a top-tier firm.
Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on employment policies, practices, and compliance.
• Draft and negotiate employment and separation agreements.
• Provide guidance on statutory and regulatory employment laws.
• Represent clients in employment litigation and related matters.
• Mentor and train junior associates in the practice group.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of employment & labor law experience at a law firm.
• Strong experience in employment counseling, litigation, and transactional work.
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• High level of initiative, motivation, and leadership skills.
• Admitted to the California Bar.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $310,000+ (Final offer based on experience and location).
