Job Posting
Duties include managing the staff and activities of the department's financial operations, including Customer Service and Collections; supporting daily operations of billing and meter reading functions; coordinating the preparation and monitoring of customer service and collection's annual budget and contracts; coordinating the preparation of the annual cost-of-service study to determine the water and sewer rates; and participating in the development of policies and plans related to billing system software and technology. Duties may also include overseeing the preparation of bid documents; coordinating bid processes; preparation of agenda items and documentation for the City Council; representing the department at local, state, federal and industry events; and having a comprehensive understanding of system processes with the city's Customer Information System (CIS), Systems and Software enQuesta. Knowledge of this software or any other Harris software product is highly desirable. A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in finance, accounting or a related field is required. Must have three years of relevant experience, preferably in municipal government, as well as one year supervisory experience. A rsum must be submitted with application.
