Direct Counsel is seeking an Employment & Labor Associate (3rd-5th year) to join a top Am Law 50 firm in its Washington, DC, or Reston, VA office. This role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced advice and counsel practice, handling a wide range of employment matters.
Key Responsibilities:

• Employment Counseling - Advise clients on statutory and regulatory compliance, executive employment agreements, and employment aspects of M&A transactions.
• Regulatory Compliance - Assist employers with workplace policies, investigations, and risk management strategies.
• Employment Transactions - Draft and negotiate executive employment and separation agreements.
• Litigation Support - Provide assistance on employment-related disputes and litigation as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in employment counseling at a comparable law firm.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent academic credentials and communication skills.
• Some litigation experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $260,000 - $365,000 (Final offer based on experience).
