Background:
The Wayne County Airport Authority (WCAA) has oversight of Detroit Metropolitan (DTW) and Willow Run Airports (YIP). DTW was dedicated on September 4, 1930, that year Thompson Aeronautical Corporation, a forerunner of American Airlines, began service from the airport. Wayne County has expanded airport operations over the years to see DTW become Detroit's large hub airport. Today Detroit Metropolitan airport supports dozens of airlines and hundreds of destinations and 36M passengers globally. The Technology Services department of the Wayne County Airport Authority is responsible for providing and managing the Airport Authority's technology needs for both Detroit Metro and Willow Run airports. WCAA currently has multiple data centers to maintain it's 24 hr., 365-day operations thereby guaranteeing the consistent, and reliable, air transportation services both domestic and foreign. At WCAA you will be part of a team of highly trained and experienced professional dedicated to this mission and assist in ushering in future technological advances for Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
Scope of Services :
The Airport Authority is seeking full-time, qualified candidates who will utilize their knowledge, skills, and abilities to serve as an Enterprise Solution Architect. In this role, the ideal candidate will facilitate, strategize, develop plans, reports, and related WCAA Strategic Business IT Architectural elements that provide the context necessary for effective IT business requirements specification, software acquisition and implementation. Supports WCAA Enterprise Resource Planning Governance & Compliance. Provides special project outputs for leadership (e.g., governance approach), refinement of processes and models to meet critical project deadlines. Be able to collaborate with cross-agency workgroups to develop functional enhancements of the WCAA Web Portal and document repository. Conduct research with the WCAA stakeholders and Technical Services staff to formulate a solutions landscape for current and future business requirements while considering security, redundancy, replication, and value. Conduct special studies as needed. Providing guidance, manage, and support the establishment of a multi-asset type (documents, models, requirements) publication and federated repository.

Preparing proposals and estimates for the design and implementation of IT systems Hiring, training, and assigning responsibilities to coworkers Completing IT assignments on time Monitoring the work of employees during the project completion Using corrective measures when the project plan is off course Helping managerial staff develop policies and guidelines Synchronizing business needs with IT systems Testing software programs
