We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee PennDOT heavy highway and bridge construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring compliance with PennDOT, DOT, and OSHA regulations. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while delivering them on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all phases of PennDOT heavy highway and bridge projects, ensuring successful execution
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
  • Manage and coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers
  • Ensure compliance with PennDOT standards, contract requirements, and safety regulations
  • Prepare and submit RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports
  • Monitor quality control, productivity, and adherence to construction plans
  • Lead project meetings with owners, engineers, and internal teams
  • Troubleshoot job site challenges and provide effective solutions
  • Assist in project closeout, including final inspections, documentation, and approvals

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience managing heavy highway or bridge construction projects
  • Proven expertise in PennDOT projects, highway infrastructure, and structural concrete
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, HCSS HeavyJob, Procore, Bluebeam)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and PennDOT regulations
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
