Description:
The Branch Manager will serve as the operations manager of a vibrant and growing office that provides subsurface exploration, geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and special inspection services on a wide variety of public and private sector projects including: buildings, bridges, roadways and pavements, retaining and shoring structures, underground infrastructure, storage tanks, towers, slopes and embankments, dams and other civil works projects. Day to day responsibilities are as follows:
Operational management of the Fredericksburg office including construction materials testing and special inspection; geotechnical engineering services and environmental services
Developing and driving a culture guided by company values and workplace safety
Lead Business development activities including scope of work development
Ensure accurate estimating goals for proposal accuracy
Oversee and engage in proposal preparation
Manage branch construction quality control programs
Provide development and mentoring of professional, technical, & administrative personnel
Communicate effectively with Leadership, Corporate support staff and Branch staff regarding state of the branch and day to day needs
Manage all strategic and operational business aspects of assigned branch including:
Annual Business Planning
Profit and Loss
Business Development planning
Employee professional development

Required Skills & Experience
Professional Engineer's License (Virginia)
10 years of experience, with a background in geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing
Management experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
