Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular issues including but not limited to acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular disease, peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysm, and venous thromboembolism/pulmonary embolism in both outpatient and inpatient settings (floor, ER, and ICU) with collaborating physician.
- Medication adjustments dependent on patient's clinical status.
- Preoperative cardiac evaluation.
- Order diagnostic studies, tests, labs and review pertinent labs/studies (EKG, remote telemonitoring, echocardiograms, stress tests, vascular studies).
- Review telemetry.
- Educate patient on diagnosis, medications, dietary restrictions related to cardiovascular disease.
- Communicate with other specialties regarding patient care.
- Will also perform and supervise stress echoes in the office.
- This is a 4/10's role and will comprise of both in-patient and out-patient care.
- The general working hours for this position will between: 8am to 8pm.
- There is no Operating Room duty with this role.
- There are no weekends with this role

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing.
- MSN Degree Required
License/Certification Requirements:
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate or eligible to obtain.
- Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioner
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience:
- Minimum one year Nurse Practitioner experience is required.
- Three (3) years' experience as an Advance Practice Nurse preferred.
