SpecPro Sustainment & Environmental is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to lead and mentor the planning and scheduling team on large and complex projects. The Senior Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing project work plans and schedules that align with project work processes and milestones. This role involves updating schedules with actual progress, forecasting remaining durations, and tracking project milestones and completion dates. Strong expertise in Primavera and Microsoft Project is required to effectively manage scheduling activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Scheduler will be responsible for leading the planning and scheduling team on large and complex projects or programs. This includes developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring accurate forecasting of project milestones and completion dates, and tracking progress against planned timelines. The role requires updating schedules with actual progress, preparing forecast analyses, and ensuring timely adjustments to scheduling plans. Additionally, the Senior Project Scheduler will lead the development and issuance of accurate project labor hour forecasts, as well as prepare schedule analysis narratives that include recommendations for corrective actions to effectively manage project timelines. Strong mentorship and leadership skills are necessary to support and guide scheduling personnel, ensuring the successful execution of scheduling functions across multiple projects.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in project scheduling and planning for large and complex projects.
  • Expertise in Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project for schedule development and tracking.
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead scheduling teams in complex project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, project labor hour tracking, and milestone adjustments.
  • Ability to develop schedule analysis reports and provide corrective action recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate schedule risks and project impact assessments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in project scheduling and analysis.
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure or complex project schedules.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in an office environment for extended periods.
  • Capability to perform detailed scheduling and data analysis.
  • Occasional travel may be required for project site visits and stakeholder meetings.

Work Environment:
  • Primarily operates in an office setting, collaborating with project teams and leadership.
  • Requires interaction with engineers, project managers, and executives to ensure schedule accuracy.
  • Involves balancing multiple scheduling responsibilities and making real-time adjustments to project timelines.

NDAs must be signed on the first day of employment and renewed with each contract option period. Failure to comply constitutes default. The contractor must maintain signed NDAs and provide copies to the COR.
